Climax Springs RIV kicked off the new school year with their annual Back to School Open House Night on Monday, August 15th. It was a full house with: staff, community partners, several community businesses, and school clubs all being present. The district had more than half the entire student body attend, and nearly one hundred parents and guardians. At the school fair, students were able to get free sports physicals thanks to Deborah King FNP from Lake Regional Health Center.
The district would like to also thank the following groups who had booths at our Back to School Open House:

The district would also like to thank the following contributors to the Back to School Open House:
Camden County Child Advocacy group, who provided school supplies to our students at a separate location. They also brought supplies our first day of school and left them for students who needed more.
-American Family Insurance of Greenview who donated 25 back packs for our elementary students
-Sonic of Camdenton who gave coupons for several of our students via Mr. Collins our social studies and student council chair.
-Camden County Health Department for coming and giving the required vaccinations for our students.
In district we would like to thank:
Michele Hatmaker and Carla Wood for working with our new nurse Darlene Baumhoff to organize the event. We want to give a special thanks to Wendy Light who coordinated with and hosted the Health Department in the nurses’ station. Wendy light was also instrumental in supporting and training our new nurse. Derek Carnahan and all the coaches for assisting with the free physicals. The district is very grateful to these individuals and everyone who made the start of the new school year a great success. Also, thank you to the families who attended and met with our teachers and staff.
When a community pulls together everyone benefits. Climax Springs RIV is looking forward to a successful school year, where students and staff work together to achieve great things.
